We are proud to announce the successful launch of the CleanCapture™ Aspiration Catheter at ACG 2025. Pictured above, Dr. Ali Rezaie, MD, MSc, FRCP(C), Medical Director of the Cedars-Sinai GI Motility Program and Lead Developer of the CleanCapture™ device, alongside Brian Murray, General Manager at Hobbs Medical, Inc., marked this milestone moment as the product made its debut. “This device was developed through a strong collaboration between Hobbs Medical Team and lead developer, Dr Rezaie, from Cedars Sinai. This partnership led to a novel solution that addresses real-world clinical needs through innovative teamwork.” — Brian Murray, General Manager, Hobbs Medical, Inc.
The CleanCapture™ Aspiration Catheter introduces a novel advancement that sets a new standard in microbiome sampling. Engineered with a patent pending protective membrane at the deployment tip, the device shields the aspiration channel during insertion and withdrawal, reducing contamination—a long-standing challenge in small-bowel aspirate collection. Other product features can be found on our website under the CleanCapture™ Aspiration Catheter product page.
Aside from our launch, to maximize visibility at ACG, we incorporated several high-impact “wow” elements at the Hobbs Medical booth that successfully drew crowds and sparked meaningful conversations. The energy translated into many new connections with opportunities to explore new collaborations and distribution opportunities.
The enthusiastic response at ACG 2025 confirmed that CleanCapture™ fills a real clinical need and arrives at the perfect time for advancing microbiome research and SIBO diagnostics. We extend our sincere thanks to Dr. Ali Rezaie and the entire Hobbs Medical team for bringing this innovation to life. Together, we’re setting a cleaner, more reliable standard for small-bowel aspiration—one sample at a time. See you at DDW 2026!
